The game's graphics were simple, but goo for the Atari 2600. It was launched to Atari 2600.The rules were simple.Someone shoots a Seeker into his/her opponent, then the opponent reflects the missile with a light saber. Then the game transforms into a tennis game. Reworking this system along with a new boost in advertising would be the only way to save this game long term, but would enrage most existing (paying) players. Jedi Arena was the fourth Star Wars game ever made. But as a result hurts the life expectancy of the game and makes spending money for casual players unattractive. TLDR: The game has picked a monetization/progression system (card collector game with a level cap that is basically unobtainable which creates large gaps in the playerbase through either money or time passed) that will net them tremendous amounts of money from whales short term. So basically the game is in a catch 22 situation. However, this would piss off long time players, as their long work and dedication leveling cards would be nullified, and big spenders in particular as their investment suddenly has no value anymore. Then start selling new content and visual/conveniency items instead of the 15million cards that are needed to level up at higher levels. The only way to fix this problem is completely reworking the progression system, making it muuuuuuch easier/faster to hit the max level cap. Creating a gap that's near impossible to cross without spending a SHITLOAD of money. The problem is that, even if they invested a shitload in advertising to bring in new players, the experience for those new players would be horrendous due to the headstart a large part of the community has.
